Governor Inslee Says Washington Has “got the best weed”

Governor Inslee interviewed with Bill Maher on his HBO show “Real Time with Bill Maher” on April 20. Inslee didn’t skip a beat when touting the quality of Washington’s marijuana. The governor also commented on his lack of confidence in President Trump’s promise to leave the decision up to the states regarding marijuana.

The governor has continued to push back against Attorney General Jeff Session and his anti-marijuana comments, The Seattle Times reports. His intentions remain to protect his state’s marijuana laws.

Inslee said, “I can honestly say, we’ve got the best weed in the United States of America. It’s a growing industry and well-regulated.”

Inslee said, in regards to President Trump, that, “Wouldn’t it be wonderful the first time Donald Trump said something that was actually true – if he said he would leave us alone on our marijuana decriminalization? And I hope that that will occur.”
